The height-adjustable kid’s desk for more self-determination
Children have a natural urge to move. However, from school age onwards, they are often forced to sit still for hours and stay in one position.
With poptop, we have developed a desk and a children’s swivel chair especially for children, where they can finally decide for themselves how they work at the desk. This freedom of movement promotes independence and helps children to develop freely.

Table up, table down
The height of the poptop kid’s table can be adjusted faster than you can say ‘kid’s table up down’. Simply press the lever on the table top and your child can choose from a total of 17 height positions between 43 cm and 86 cm.

Better than electrically height-adjustable – child’s play to operate
Many parents initially look for an electrically height-adjustable kid’s desk. But an electric mechanism needs electricity, requires a lot of maintenance and, above all, children don’t wait. The poptop children’s desk can be adjusted in seconds, without cables or a crank. Children simply do it themselves.
The patented mechanism is supported by simple rubber cables for height adjustment. This means that the kid’s desk can be moved into the desired position without much effort.

Simple design – perfect for any children’s room
Who hasn’t seen them – the children’s desks that are bursting with features but look rather clunky in the children’s room. The poptop children’s desk deliberately dispenses with features such as tilting tops and drawers and concentrates on the essentials: Maximum freedom for children to implement their own ideas and creativity.
FAQS
Do you have questions about this product? We have compiled the most frequently asked questions and answers here. If this does not answer your question, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What age is the table intended for?
The poptop table is suitable for children from the age of 2. They can also use it themselves from around the age of 4. Thanks to the height adjustment up to 86 cm, the table can also be used into adulthood.
The poptop children’s desk can be used as a standing desk up to a height of approx. 155 cm. Children reach this height on average from the age of 13.
Can children adjust the height of the table themselves?
Absolutely. Our table has been specially developed for children. This means they can move the table to their desired position with little effort and decide for themselves whether they want to work at the table in a squatting, sitting or standing position. Smaller children (under 4 years) may need a little help at the beginning – but with a little practice they can manage on their own.
The table is difficult to move up or down. What can I do?
Ideally, the table should be easy to move up and down. However, if it can only be pushed down with a lot of force, this means that you have hooked in too many cords. Simply unhook 1-2 cords.
Conversely, if the table is difficult to move upwards, means that you have not hooked in enough cords. Take 1-2 cords more and the problem is solved. This can happen especially if you put something heavy on the table.
Do I have to assemble the table myself?
poptop delivers the table 99% assembled. The only thing you have to do is open the table and attach the rubber cords. This usually takes no longer than 3 minutes.
How much space do I need for the table?
The table itself has a width of 115 cm and a depth of 65 cm. However, you need an additional 15 cm at the sides to be able to use the full height adjustment range.
We therefore recommend a parking space that is at least 130 cm wide.
Is it normal that the table top can still be moved easily when static?
Yes, the mechanism still has a little “play” in the static state, so that the plate can be moved approx. 1-2 cm up or down. This is necessary due to the complex mechanism, but is generally not a problem when working on the table.
Which floors are the castors suitable for?
The castors, which support the height adjustment of the table, are suitable for all common floor coverings. They are hard enough to roll on a deep-pile carpet and soft enough to prevent damage to a real wood floor.
Can the table be folded up and stored flat?
Yes, the table can also be folded completely flat again. Turn the table over in the highest position, unhook the cords and then press the lever and pull the leg down as far as it will go. When folded and without rubber cords, the table has a height of 16 cm.
Can I return the table if I or my child don't like it?
Your satisfaction and that of your child is our top priority. Although we are convinced that you will like the table, you can return it within 100 days. Please use the original packaging and let us know at info@poptop.shop. You will then receive a return label from us.
Can children pinch their fingers?
No, we have taken special care to ensure that all moving parts are installed in such a way that there is no risk of pinching, even for the smallest of children’s hands.
What happens if my child climbs onto the table?
Thanks to the robustness of the material used, the table can easily bear loads of up to 100 kg when locked into position. This means that when the table is in its static position, nothing happens if your child climbs onto the table or uses it as a seat. However, the kid’s table is not designed for this and we therefore advise against it.
What are the extra cords for?
Before delivery, we equip each table with enough cords so that the table can be moved up and down just as easily. Normally this is 12 cords – although this can vary slightly from table to table.
However, 3 extra cords are also included in the scope of delivery. You can also attach these if you are storing heavier objects on the children’s desk. Due to the additional weight on the table top, the table can no longer be moved upwards as easily. In this case, hang up some more drawers. The table can then be easily moved upwards even with a little more weight.
Which countries does poptop ship to and what are the fees?
We ship to Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. Furniture costs €35 to ship, accessories €5 to €10 depending on the item. You will see the exact amount for your order in the last step, before you pay.
We pay all additional fees including customs duties for deliveries to Switzerland.
What are the holes in the table top for?
In our latest version of the children’s desk, we supply all table tops with 4 holes in the corners. These holes can be used in the future to mount accessories that we are already developing and will soon be offering.
Should a children's desk be height-adjustable?
Yes, ideally. A height-adjustable desk supports an ergonomic sitting posture and grows with the child. The child can also adjust the poptop themselves, which promotes independence.
How high should a children's desk be?
The ideal desk height is around half your height. The poptop desk is adjustable between 43 and 86 cm. This makes it suitable for children from approx. 2 years to adulthood.
Which desk is good for children?
A good children’s desk is height-adjustable, robust and easy to use. Important: Children should be able to adjust the height themselves. This promotes independence and ensures an ergonomically correct working posture.
At what age does a child need a desk?
From around 3-4 years of age, it makes sense for children to have their own place to draw and do handicrafts. When the child starts school (6 years), a fixed workplace becomes more important. The poptop desk is suitable from the age of 2.
